The console has a large, familiar, open layout allowing easy operation. It offers 100mm long travel faders and metering on all ins and outs. In addition to the 40 mono inputs, the IM8-40 is equipped with 4 full featured stereo inputs AND 4 stereo Aux returns. Additionally there is a 2-track Input, accessible from the rear panel on RCA jacks and at the front edge of the console on an 1/8” stereo jack, perfect for an I-pod or other MP3 player. USB connectivity is also supported for 2 track recording and playback.
